April 25, 2012: Early registration for 7th Oshawa's 2012-2013 year will be held at St. George's Memorial Anglican Church at 51 Centre St. South (across from City Hall) on May 1, 2012 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. During the early spring registration the registration fee will only be $165 however the cost will be increasing to $180 during the fall registration.
December 8, 2011: It is with great sadness that we must once again announce the passing of one of 7th Oshawa's group committee members. On December 5, Anne Hellas, the secretary of our group committee for the last 15 years passed away at the age of 75. Visitation will be held at Oshawa Funeral Home at 847 King Street West on Thursday December 8th from 7-9 p.m. and Friday December 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. George's Memorial Anglican Church on Saturday December 10th at 2:00 p.m. She will be missed.
October 4, 2011: The time has come once again for Scout Popcorn to be sold. With every order of popcorn sold over 60% of the proceeds goes to Scouts as fundraising. Most of the popcorn is made with Canola Oil and has 0g trans fat. Better flavour. Better for you. Better for Scouts in your community. So buy some today and have a treat and help out 7th Oshawa. If you don't know a member of 7th Oshawa to buy from, you can contact popcorn@7thoshawa.com and an order can be arranged for you.
September 1, 2011: Registration for 7th Oshawa's 2011-2012 year will be held in the lower hall of St. George's Memorial Anglican Church at 51 Centre St. South (across from City Hall) on September 14, 2011 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. This years fees are $175 so come renew your child for another year and of course new applicants are more than welcome to join our group.
February 26, 2011: Earlier this year during our second annual Kub Kurl at the Oshawa Curling Club, SNAP Oshawa was in attendance and took some pictures of our group. An online version of their brief article and the photos can be viewed here.
January 1, 2011: We would like to wish everyone a happy new year and hope that it will be a wonderful year for one and all.
November 26, 2010: It is with great sadness that we officially announce the passing of one of our own. On October 25, Al Shewring, a member of our group committee passed away at the age of 84. To read a short memorial written by our group commissioner, Harry Hester, click here.
November 21, 2010: Santa's Parade of Lights has come and gone for another year and we hope everyone had fun. We'd like to thank everyone for all the donations and help to make our float a success and we'd like to send a special thanks to the Ontario Truck Training Academy for once again providing us with a driver, truck and trailer to make our entry possible.
November 11, 2010: We would like to pay homage to the brave men and women who have served our country over the years. Many have died and many more live on with the haunting memories as we sleep peaceful and free in our beds. We hope that everyone took a moment today to remember, lest we forget.
